Kathryn McKey-Dunar

I am a transplant from Minnesota to the East Coast for the last seven years. Before my time in Connecticut, my husband and I lived in Madison, WI and Boston, MA where I worked for Episcopal churches and their children/youth programs. We moved to New Haven, CT when I started attending Yale Divinity School for my M.Div. I have served at a dinner church out of Trinity on the Green, New Haven and at St. James in Fair Haven. After graduating in 2018, I did a year residency as a chaplain at Yale New Haven Hospital where I came to love working in a hospital. I am now a chaplain at Backus Hospital in Norwich, CT and am a postulant for the priesthood in the Episcopal Church in Connecticut.

When I am not at the hospital or at church, you can usually find me going on hikes with my husband, Edward, or curled up with a good book. I am fan of science fiction/fantasy writing… really anything where I get to imagine a whole different world and how people would live in it. I also share my home with a 10 year old cat named Louie who is the king of our small castle.
