Sunday Worship Moved Online
St. Stephen’s is suspending in-person worship on March 15 and March 22. Recognizing that this announcement is coming out late, Morning Prayer will be said at both 8am and 10am this Sunday, March 15, for anyone who shows up. The 8am and 10am services will be made available via livestream for members to join in from home.
A truly online-native worship service will be offered on March 22, with more details to follow.
Recognizing the need for connection, fellowship, and worship as we all practice self-isolation, we will be offering online midweek morning and noonday prayer on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8am and 12pm. These services are designed specifically for the experience of online worshipers and will incorporate communal and individual prayer, reflection on scripture, and opportunity for fellowship and conversation.
Use the Worship Online button above to find the page with details about midweek prayer, and be sure to sign up for notifications to receive timely reminders before the start of each prayer service.
In addition, St. Stephen’s sanctuary will be open during regular business hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays for anyone who is seeking space for retreat and quiet prayer.
Youth & Young Adult Formation
We believe in the importance of life-long faith formation here at St. Stephen’s, and we recognize the unique struggle families are facing as schools are suspended during this pandemic. To support our youth and young adults, Lynda Hickey is putting together online formation experiences. Sign up for notifications to receive updates as more information becomes available.
St. Stephen’s office is closed and our staff are working remotely. Our office number is being forwarded to Adam’s phone, and if you need to reach any of our staff, please email them.
In addition, Adam remains available for phone or video conversations. Please note that due to restrictions by hospitals and the healthcare systems, in-person pastoral visits to hospitals and nursing homes are not possible at this time.
Other groups, both internal and external, should check with their leaders for information on whether their gatherings will be canceled. At this time, the following events/groups are canceled:
- Harvest House: Canceled for March 15 and March 22
